Mary Elizabeth Boswell Miller, my loving wife of 33 years, mother of two beautiful daughters, Sarah and Anne, and Grandmother to adoring grandsons, Henry, Leland, George, Clay, and Joel was called home to God the Father Almighty on April 1, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is now able to rest.
Mary Elizabeth was born on June 29, 1942 in Clarksville, Tennessee. She was the first child born to Leland and Louise Boswell. Mary Elizabeth was born and raised on a farm along with her sister, Katherine, in rural Guthrie, Kentucky. Mary Elizabeth loved the outdoors and spent much of her youth riding and hunting on her horse, Minnie. She loved following her father around the farm. After graduating from Guthrie High School, Mary Elizabeth attended Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky graduating with a degree in education. After her first daughter, Sarah, was born she moved to Houston, Texas where her second daughter, Anne was born. Mary Elizabeth taught school, worked as a tax preparer, and sold real estate while raising her girls. In 1998 Mary Elizabeth and I moved to Weston Lakes where she was a member of the Weston Lakes Women's' Association and the Weston Lakes Ladies' Golf Association. She was a devout Christian and became a member of the Fulshear United Methodist Church in Fulshear, Texas. Mary Elizabeth enjoyed Weston Lakes by sharing her time with her daughters, grandsons, and her many friends.
Mary Elizabeth is survived by her husband Erik, daughter and son in law Sarah and David Pearson of Houston, Texas and their sons Henry, Leland, and George; daughter and son in law Anne and Matt Danysh of Corpus Christi, Texas and their sons Clay and Joel; her sister and brother in law Katherine and Roger Hampton of London, Kentucky and their daughter Emily Saylor of Clarksville, Tennessee. Mary Elizabeth dedicated her life to her family and we loved her dearly. It is impossible to summarize what she meant to each of us.
