Jamesetta Ray Jones was called home on June 10, 2017. Jamesetta was born in Scottsburg, Indiana on December 22, 1925, to Ruby & James B. Ray. She was raised in the heartland where she learned many values that she retained and that served her well throughout life. She loved the Indiana farmhouse of her childhood and recounted many stories about finding kittens up in the hayloft of the barn.

Jamesetta met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Jones, in Tipton Indiana during the war years at the Perfect Circle Piston Ring factory.

Jamesetta "Jimmie" graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and taught art and physical education while Bob finished his degree at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Jimmie taught in Fowler Indiana where lifelong friendships were made. Jimmie's husband's career with Shell took the family to many locations across the US for work, (TX, NY, CA, NJ and then back to TX).

During those years, she made many lifelong friends as they crisscrossed the country on their company transfers. These friends became an extended family that remained with them throughout life.

She enjoyed many hobbies; gardening, reading and travel. She was an avid reader and could read a book in a fraction of the time than most. Jimmie played conversational bridge frequently with her friends that she had known for years and years. Her family was her pride & joy. Jimmie is predeceased by her husband Robert Jones, mother & father Ruby and James Ray, her sister Martha Jarrett and brother James Ray. She is also predeceased by her close dear friends from Fowler, Indiana, Pick & Glen Richmire.

Jimmie leaves behind her daughter Jeri and husband Bob Wierwille, son Bill and wife Pat Jones, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to personally thank all the Skilled Nursing care professionals, Hospice professionals and neighbors that provided care, love, and assistance during Mom's illness.
