Elaine K. Andrews, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Katy, Texas, Friday, January 26th, 2018. Elaine was two days past her 86th birthday. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Catherine Burda, her brothers Gene, Earl and Frank and her sister Rita, all in Michigan, and loving husband Lynn Roy Andrews of Texas.

Elaine K. Andrews, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Katy, Texas, Friday, January 26th, 2018. Elaine was two days past her 86th birthday. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Catherine Burda, her brothers Gene, Earl and Frank and her sister Rita, all in Michigan, and loving husband Lynn Roy Andrews of Texas.

Born in Detroit, Michigan January 24th, 1932, Elaine lived different segments of her life in the Detroit area and Houston, Texas area with about half of her life spent in each location. She graduated from high school in Detroit, and had a long and distinguished career as administrative and executive assistants in large corporations such as Ford Motor Company, Dow Chemical Company and Shell Oil Company. A devout Catholic, Elaine was always involved in whatever parish to which she belonged. She loved traveling, dancing and cooking, and above all else, she loved her family and family traditions.

Our Dear Elaine is survived by children Sherri Andrako and husband Dan Andrako, Edward Kuciemba, Rita Andrews Gildenberg and husband Ron Gildenberg, grandchildren Kristen Andrako Kyer and husband Brad Kyer, Lindsay Andrako, Kathryn Phelps, Sarah Gildenberg, and Lauren Gildenberg, great-grandchildren Nate Kyer, Kingsley Tiemeyer and Caroline Kyer.
